Lash extensions: choosing length and curl

Length, curl and fullness do different jobs. Learn how to describe the result you want before choosing your lash set.

Example of defined classic lash extensions

Start with the look you want, rather than a millimetre measurement. Length and curl are then chosen around your natural lashes, eye shape and daily routine.

Length is only one part of the result

Two sets of the same length can look very different. A more visible curl, a fuller lash line or longer points in the centre changes the overall impression. Choosing the longest option will not automatically recreate a photograph.

Explain what appeals to you: lashes that show more from the front, an elongated outer corner, a discreet outline or visible spikes. These details provide a more useful starting point than a number alone.

Think about everyday wear

Mention glasses before your appointment. Your lashes should feel practical with your usual makeup and with the amount of definition you enjoy on a bare face. A front-facing reference and a side view can help explain your preference.

What you decide before application

Your natural lashes determine the possible adjustments. Booking a style does not commit you to an unsuitable length. Explain what you dislike too: an overly extended corner, a uniform fringe or a very dark lash line.

Compare the classic and Russian volume options before choosing your appointment. The detailed design is discussed at the studio. For a major change to an existing set, check whether an infill is still appropriate.
