Mascara on lash extensions: should you add it?
Before layering mascara over extensions, consider the result you want and how you will remove the product.

A lash set is designed to create its own finish. Before adding mascara, ask whether your product and removal routine are suitable for your extensions.
Identify what you feel is missing
Does the line look too light, do the tips need more definition, or has the set become less full over time? These are different situations. The first relates to style choice; the last may call for maintenance.
Adding makeup does not replace an infill. If your preferences change, discussing your next set is often more useful than layering products onto the current one.
Removal matters as much as application
A difficult-to-remove product may require more handling. The studio can recommend a routine suited to your set and the products used. Do not assume every familiar mascara is compatible.
If you particularly like a mascara-defined finish, compare Wet Look. It may match that visual preference without making daily mascara application your goal.
Makeup and reference photographs
An image may combine extensions, eyeliner, eyeshadow and editing. Try to identify what comes from the lash line itself. Makeup visible in a reference is not automatically included in the treatment.
Explain whether you wear makeup every day or hardly ever. The design should suit your everyday life, not only an evening photograph.
